2004 - Present

In 2004 WTI made the decision to get ISO certified and by the end of 2004 WTI had obtained ISO 9001:2000 certification! Our recent ISO re-certification in 2007 is a reflection of our continued efforts to maintain our quality objectives while making the best product in the most efficient way possible.

ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies. ISO 9001:2000 replaces ISO 9001:1994. ISO collaborates closely with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization.

WTI’s ISO 9001:2000 Certification means that both Production and Engineering Departments are certified under the ISO umbrella. ISO 9001:2000 is a strategic decision by WTI’s top management to adopt a Quality Management System.


WTI believes that the ISO 9001:2000 has impacted the following:

Being an ISO-9001:2000 certified company means that an independent third party validates the entire Quality Management System (QMS) every three years and audits one-third at least once a year. Engineering systems for design/test/manufacture, corrective/preventive action requests, equipment calibrations, etc., are all properly accounted for. With all this in place, a new customer can feel confident that the products that reach them have been well thought out and thoroughly tested.
